BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Around 46 million South Africans rely on government health care, as they have no medical aid or medical insurance or medical aid.
Most working class have to wait for pay-day or take days off to utilize general state / municipal clinics and hospitals.
Government health care facilities are unfortunately under equipped and staffed to cope with the demand.
Universal Health Care (UHC) and National Health Insurance (NHI) has realized the need to involve the private sector. A certain mind-set will be crucial to create solutions to the many challenges facing healthcare. The need to be imaginative and future-oriented for one. Once UHC has been implemented successfully, Mededpocket will offer access to products and services which are not covered by UHC, as well as products for individuals who wish to choose their own medical service provider.

Shelley Heunes: Shareholder and Director
With 15 years’ experience and knowledge in new business development, architecture, principle designer, creative designer, entrepreneur, professional, ambitious, strong leadership and communication skills, project developer, marketing, management, property consulting. The ability to identify unique profitable opportunities in various market segments.
